OEMTOOLS 25400 Filter Wrench Flutes Review

I change oil and filters on several vehicles and most of them use the Motorcraft FL-500S filter. I thought it was a good time to look for a good key and it was. Good fit and hook length. 3/8" drive.

Good filter wrench. Fits the oil filter on my 2014 Ford F-150 5.0L V8. We've been using it for 1 year now. It seems to be holding up well and appears to be durable. I'm deducting a star because the filter sometimes gets stuck in the filter button and you have to hit it with a hammer. No big deal, just a note.

(Part #25400) for Motorcraft FL500S Filter. It's not like this. The installation manual on the inside of the tool clearly states FL400S. It was too big for my filter. Luckily I had an expandable claw tool in my garage that worked, so I didn't even need it. Can someone clarify what the problem is? For reference, I drive a 2019 Ford F150 5.0L.

When I bought this there were some conflicting reviews as to whether this item would fit the FL-500s filter fits I hope I can clarify this and rule out a possible explanation as to why this might be so although the sticker inside the product says it fits FL-400 and doesn't mention 500 it does 500.
