No tooling materials, which is bad - since it's a tool. He would have looked great on the set of The Walking Dead or Mad Max, but I wouldn't take him into a fight or accident scene where life depended on it. But hey! Like my second wife, she looks great even if she's not fit for anything meaningful and certainly can't take anything more stressful than being pretty! After a few tries I got these for car emergencies but I wouldn't use them for long as my hand feels awful on my arm. Uncomfortable and pinching. The only nice thing is that it's small to keep in the vehicle. When you absolutely need a quick axe, saw or hammer for some weird, unforeseen problem like a fallen tree or something. I wouldn't use it as a camping tool, and if I didn't use it without gloves, it really hurts the hand.

I got this for a bug pouch to go with other axes I've bought for the same purpose (it's good to have more than one bug pouch or even an EDC pouch ). It seems very well built, can be used as a versatile tool for a variety of tasks. This is a great little tool that comes out of the box, but a few simple tweaks make it even better. I first used a stone course to get rid of the powder coating on the blade and then sharpened the blade. The handle was too slippery so I used a rasp to roughen it up and give it some grip.
