Tents and Shelters Updated Review

I bought this to cover the back of my caravan and protect my kitchen area. Haven't used it yet but hopefully it will protect my open galley teardrop RVs. I will be vacationing in Koh for a whole month. So my updated review must be thorough. Update, I've used this canopy 1 month straight while camping at Molas Lake near Silverton County. A strong wind blew every day. (altitude about 11,000 feet). This canopy was freaking cool, I added two more tarps on the sides and it held up with no problem…

A few weak tracks considering the price.

I bought this canopy for a trip across the state and love that it folds down into a compact suitcase. I slept in my JKU jeep so space was valuable. It arrived two days before my trip so I couldn't test it. When I first took it out of the box the instructions were pretty basic and the little pictures gave me an idea of the configuration. I was able to install it fairly quickly and attach the two ends to my jeep. The bars are thin on the end and one buckled slightly when I installed it. The…

Missing and broken parts

This product has the potential to be really cool, but the one we've revived came with no pegs or cords. Luckily we have our own but more fatal flaw that the wands we received were too big on one end and didn't fit the sockets on one side causing one wand to snap the plastic socket immediately (see fig photo) with very little Tension. The instructions state that the two ends of the long sticks must be made of different materials: one end must be capped with plastic and the other end must be…

Great Item - Outdoor Recreation

I purchased this awning to use in the bed of my truck in combination with a hard shell retractable RV that mounts directly over the bed. I didn't see a way to use a regular roll up tarp so I bought this from Revain. It works great - the arched shape allows me to cook at the back door and not have to worry about the heat from my stove damaging the canopy. It is very easy to assemble in minutes and consists of two long, articulated fiberglass rods on the outside and a shorter rod on the inside…

Great price and easy to install

I am very pleased with this canopy covering the door of my rustic Trail Teardrop RV. It is easy to assemble yourself and offers protection from the sun and rain. While not a heavy tarp like my dad once made, it's excellent value for money. Since I didn't learn how to assemble a tarpaulin from my father, easy assembly and disassembly is important to me. I hang one side from my teardrop and support the other side with poles. It comes with two bars which I found too high so I use a pair of height…

The best on the market - very versatile.

I bought this to use as shade and weather protection over the galley of my teardrop trailer - it fits perfectly. This awning is very versatile as it can be used with and without poles when attached to a trailer (or at the back of the car if you have a hatchback or at the side if you don't have one) with one end on the ground attached , or with included poles to make it look more like a standard awning. In any case, there is plenty of space. It's versatile even without a vehicle - just use your…

Not waterproof at all.

Ok I really liked this canopy. On first unboxing I was impressed with the strength of the fiberglass poles with elastic, the size of the canopy was perfect for my car and the fabric felt good. But then I actually set it up and tested it over the weekend. First, even though the product description says it offers "rain protection," it doesn't. The water fall has slowed, but that's it. The ground under the next tree was drier than the ground under this tarp. And it wasn't just the seams that were…
