Works but not very well

This makes tight fitting headset cups easy to remove, but it knocks the shit out of them. I may be using it incorrectly, but it leaves deep scratches on my cups.

Pros
  • The flared end goes through the head tube and snaps behind the shell, the shell can be removed with a hammer.
Cons
  • There are some downsides

Inexpensive and in a good mood: bicycle tools and service

You could probably just do it. Considering the orders, it's easier to buy this one. This is not intended for a bicycle mechanic. Perfect for the average Joe who works on personal bikes.

Pros
  • High-quality steel for a long service life, durable, heat-treated.
Cons
  • Protection

Quality Headset Removal Tool

I have used this tool several times to remove headset cups and had no problems.I definitely recommend investing in this tool if you think you need to remove multiple fonts. The levers on the instrument compress well enough to fit the dimensions of the headset and the end cap makes that easier Transfer of hammer blows when removing the headset cups.

Pros
  • Specially designed to remove 1-1/8", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" headset cups.
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

A good option for the home master.

Maybe not as pretty as the Park Tool counterpart, but it doesn't have a price tag either. This is a good alternative for DIY bike mechanics who may not use it day in and day out. The only thing I don't like is that the cap that screws onto the pipe section (i.e. the flat part you hit with a hammer) tends to unscrew fairly easily.

Pros
  • 30mm headset not supported, 1 inch (25.4mm) headset not supported
Cons
  • vanishing
