I was looking for a thick rim liner that described what I thought was a decent liner and the fact that it was 3 times the price of a regular liner and 5 times the price of the cheapest, low and lo and behold it was thinner than a factory Huffy liner, I'm 56 years old now and it's been a minute since I've fixed a tire on a bike and all I can say is what they use on bikes today Damn

I ordered two packs of this product to mount on the rims of our bikes (2). I've only mounted them on one bike. I mounted them over the existing rubbers. One thing I noticed about one of the rims was that there were burrs on the heads of the spoke ends. Apparently, a worker in China left burrs from a flat screwdriver while tightening. I machined a smooth file and deburred it. I actually got a stab from one of them, right through the rubber lining. I don't see that they are thicker. I'll turn on…

I used rim strips from a bike shop and French cotton rim tape. Rubber ones break easily and are difficult to straighten. On the rim tape, the glue is not very strong and deteriorates quickly. Okared rim strips are better than all of these options. Strong, durable and safe. I no longer worry about my tires. If the rim tape fails, the spoke heads can puncture the tube and cause it to break. They look so well made and sturdy that this shouldn't be a problem. I feel more confident with this product
