Well, I really liked the fountain, as it was so small cute and QUIET which is why I thought my kitties would like to drink fresher water from it. That didn't happen as my girl is pretty old 18 yrs so she wasn't interested. My boy is younger at 8 yrs- and he did drink from it. I bought is mostly for the older kitty as her kidneys need more water and she doesn't drink enough water (Who does ?) so it didn't work in my case however, I would recommend to start your kitties younger to get used to the

My dogs drink more and no longer need to bark at us to refill their water bowl. Easy to clean and fill. Only downside is the filter it came w/ sucks. It clogged the water flow so I just ditched it. Maybe I can find a better filter elsewhere or make one. Otherwise this fountain is awesome!

She was going around with wet paws from having to agitate the water in her bowl, maybe so she could find the surface to drink? Anyway, we got this via Ebay and then picked up a fancier, more expensive pet water fountain at a local store and set them both up. Hands down, she prefers this one. We are grateful for the pleasure she gets from it.

I was noticing that there weren’t as many "clumps” in the cat box now that the weather is colder, so I hoped this would encourage my cats to drink more and stave off any UTIs. They were curious about it right away. We’ve had it a few days now and I’ve never seen them use it but it’s up off the floor where the dog can’t get it and available to them. It’s quiet and reasonably attractive. Hopefully it will help.

Tough to know how much water is in the bowl without taking off top. But if the waterfall stops you are low on water Not leak-proof!
