Works great as a "hard drive " just be careful if you want to use the POGO function

The drives were ok, they work fine as I expected. IMNSHO, a great concept, but both the product and the vendor's infrastructure, especially their tech. Support and the availability of solutions for its use - it's just "In the absence", it's "In the wind". If you're just buying it to have a 1TB hard drive, it works and probably deserves a 4-star rating. However, if you really expected to be able to use the POGO function, this segment deserves a rating of 1.55 stars or less. Looks nice, but it's…

Buying a hard drive can be a crappy shootout. All hard drives fail over time

Buying a hard drive can be a crappy hunt. Eventually all hard drives fail. The trick is to try and find the one with the best track record. I needed a 1TB laptop to easily drag and drop music, photos, videos and documents so I could free up space on my laptop. For about a week I tried to decide between WD and Seagate. I've read numerous reviews online complaining of some issues with both. I turned down a WD drive because of all the complaints about using the downloaded software, faulty cables…

Died a year later, trouble returns.

Well everything worked fine for the first year of the two year warranty. Today it started clicking and we all know what that means. I tried to find a way to replace it on Toshiba's website but found that you can't even register the external hard drive. Entering a serial or model number just returns an error and it takes a while to realize you can only register big things like TVs and computers.
