A solution to the problem of free rotation

Worked about 2 years then the handle started to rotate freely. I was about to make a warranty claim, but then I discovered this: the wooden lid does not have a square hole for the square spindle to rotate in, instead there is a metal disc with three sharp ribs built into the bottom of the lid; which has a square hole that turns the spindle and in my case the metal disc came loose and fell into the pepper chamber. I shook it out, put it back in the bottom of the slab and my chipper started…

Cons
  • boring packaging

I've had the pepper grinder for about a month now. It works well and looks great. The nut at the top of the grinder tightens and loosens, allowing you to finely grind peppers at will. The inside only holds a small amount of pepper well, but it's good enough for those who cook weekly as I haven't had to refill it with peppercorns yet. The thickness of the wood also gives it some weight, increasing its durability and desirability as a long-lasting kitchen item. This is a big step up from using…

Terrible smell and unattractive finish

I would definitely not buy again. I can see what other reviewers have said about this scent. I know the manufacturer replied saying it was just one batch that was delivered early and the glue needs time to cure blah blah blah but I still don't feel comfortable. Wrapped up in a packet the whole time while that smell soaks into the grain and drenches everything around. At best, it changes the taste and at worst? Not worth the risk. Also, the finish is kind of ugly. I'm a little too orange. This…

Outstanding product. Built for life.

I have had a pepper grinder since 2014, I use it almost every day, I am very happy with my purchase. 10.5 inches tall with a solid build and feel, it easily grinds whole peppercorns. The mill is easy to fill and grind from coarse to fine. Simply put, for coarsely ground peppers, hold the top nut on the weaker side and tighten slightly to increase the fineness of the grind. It contains quite a bit of pepper, which is good for me as I use quite a bit. Fingerprints/food prints are easy to wipe…
