So far so good. When you shake them, they release a small amount of flakes or pepper. Relatively attractive. My only concern is that the plastic caps look brittle. I suspect the glass will fall just fine, but the caps will likely break.

I would give a better rating but there was one thing that really lowered my opinion of the shakers. These are good little shakers, the glass bowl is not easy to break and is quite thick. The only issue I had was that the lids were made out of plastic and then painted metallic. Cheap and if I had known that I would not have paid full price.

They are a good size and attractive but I wanted to buy them somehow to avoid plastic items. The lids only have a steel/chrome finish on the plastic, not real metal (or if real metal, at best just a foil finish on the plastic). Looking back, the price seemed good to be true. I use them until they break or the "stainless steel" coating on the lids peels off, then I find and buy a set of lids that are actually metal and not plastic.
