All Pro PGT, Precision Ground Tooth band saw blades for the professional user. Unique carbon-rich steel - optimum balance between strength and flexibility. Superior hardened and tempered material -stronger, faster cutting blade performance. Item Package Dimension: 10.25" L x 10.875" W x 1.0" H.
Welding is not very accurate. The blade works great but I don't like the sound of the seam going through the guides. I hope this issue doesn't shorten the life of the blades.
I usually buy the "cheaper" blades simply because I tend to overuse them and break them before the teeth cut through the large decorative sockets of the base legs become blunt table. This blade was about $10 cheaper than my regular blade, so I gave it a try. So far it's performing as well as, if not better than, my previous brand. I also recently sawed through an 11" wide maple leaf with this 1/2" blade and the cut, drift and tracking were great. I will buy them (and save money) in the future.

All my reading and experience since then has convinced me that the saw cannot handle such a wide blade. The 4" saw blade was not moving properly on both wheels at the same time, probably due to over-tensioning the saw frame. I have bought Olson 5/8" and 1/2" saw blades and the 5/8" saw blade works great . I haven't tried the 1/2" saw blade, but expect the sameβ¦
