Really impressed. Best in Blades

I took an 80 inch Bosch saw for my old band saw and it was terrible. I put this Olson on and he cuts hardwood like butt. Good value for money.

Pros
  • Made in China
Cons
  • Appearance

Moderate quality, good price

These saw blades represented good value for money. A good sharp edge is short-lived when cutting hardwood, but works well on softer woods like spruce and cedar. I recommend buying several at a time.

Pros
  • These are strong, durable, commercial grade band saws for industrial, woodworking, DIY and professional tradesmen
Cons
  • unreliable

Cuts like butter, good for hand and power tools

I put the blade on and adjusted it on the machine and found it cuts a lot better than the blade I've used in the past would have. This allows for a nice tight corner and continues a good fast track. I've cut red oak about 3 inches thick with this blade and have found that it cuts as if it were a soft wood like pine or cedar. I even left a nice clean area that isn't a hassle to sand when I'm done cutting. I'll order Olson from now on.

Pros
  • Product is easy to use and very durable
Cons
  • Some minor things

Product description is confused.

I have several Olson blades, all of exceptional quality - none broke at the weld, none were unbalanced or caused vibration and noise. This is a good product at a good price. But there is a but. Please note that the picture does not match the description. I have attempted to purchase this particular blade twice, both times a 56" blade (as pictured) was sent instead of the expected 80" blade (as described). I gave up and bought two packs on eBay for the same price.

Pros
  • For hardwoods, softwoods, plastics, mild steels and non-ferrous metals
Cons
  • Small parts

Cons
  • Requires a socket

Cuts like band saw oil

I fitted the saw blade and fitted it to the machine and found that it cuts much better than the blade I have had in the past. This allows for a nice tight corner and continues a good fast track. I have cut red oak about 3 inches thick with this blade and have found that it cuts as if it were a soft wood like pine or cedar. I even left a nice clean area that isn't a hassle to sand when I'm done cutting. I'll order Olson from now on.

Pros
  • Made in China
Cons
  • Packaging is ugly

Very good quality especially for the price

I don't invest much in band saws partly because I'm cheap and partly because I make parts on the saw that push the limits of what it intended Design. However, I usually use Craftsman and Bosch blades. Then I started using Olson blades. While there are probably much better quality blades out there, they have stood up to my abuse, they cut like butter and they are far more durable than others I have used. They require a lot more turns and effort, and they just keep moving. Yes, they do break, but

Pros
  • Product is easy to use and very durable
Cons
  • Expensive
