The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

Different pros: My first impressions: light, comfortable, very sharp, good color reproduction. In a month I will try to publish more detailed impressions. Some cons: Not that it would not justify, but surprised - why does the hood need to be purchased separately?

I love this lens! - Camera and photo

I use this with my Olympus OM-D E-M10 camera. I was able to take sharp photos of objects like snowflakes with this lens, and the portrait photos blew me away. The photos are so good! For macro shots, I hold the camera in my hand and add light to speed up the shutter speed and avoid blur. Focusing in macro photography requires some patience. I set the lens to 1:1 and gradually move away from the subject until it comes into focus. Image quality for macro and portraits seems to be as good as my…

very good lens, which could be a bit better

i deduct one star because it doesn't have a lens hood, the manual focus feel isn't that great and the focal length is longer than my ideal lens is very well built, extremely sharp and relatively easy to use; it works well as a short telephoto lens, focuses quickly but (like all autofocus macros) can hunt; the range limiter switch helps and is better than the range limiters in other macros I've used; How manual focus works is the most important consideration for true macro photography and this…

Max Macro: Camera Lenses

I bought this lens for my OMD-10 five months ago but have only recently started using it. This lens turned me into a macro enthusiast, although I'm still learning. I haven't taken it off my camera yet, and the only other lens I'll eventually buy is the 75-300 for telephoto. I have criticism that Olympus does not provide a user manual, although you can buy one. And there is no hood in the kit, so you need to buy again. My other disappointment is that I bought a camera, two kit lenses and then…

Ideal for macro photography in the field

This review is for the 60mm macro lens because it can be used quite narrowly and specifically: for shooting insects, amphibians, reptiles, mushrooms and other small objects, the it can be held with hands on the field. For this purpose I find the lens to be an excellent choice and great value for money. Macro photography in the field is very different from bringing animals indoors and photographing them in a lightbox. I'm not too attached to the specs - it's the results that count - and I have…

Very high quality product, it's not the first time I bought it.

As a portrait lens, this lens did not seem convenient to me, I compare it with the Olympus 45mm 1.8: the macro focuses more slowly (even if you set the limiter to the longest distance). Otherwise, a great workhorse - the most used lens in my arsenal. Someone wrote about vignetting here as a drawback - in general, vignetting "one-two" is corrected in Lightroom / Camera RAW. And with the saved preset in general "on time".

Pros
  • Excellent macro lens, sharp. Dust and moisture protective housing
Cons
  • Finding a polarizer is not easy, but real, so this drawback is not significant, I think. There is no hood included, but for my personal purposes (food photography) it is not needed.

A wonderful product, its nice to use.

I bought it last summer before the expedition solely for the sake of compactness - I didn’t want to drag a large Canon with me just for the sake of macro photography. I was very pleasantly surprised by the results: the combination of Olympus E-M10 and Olympus 60 / 2.8 allowed us to get much better results than the Canon 5DM3 + Canon 100 / 2.8L Macro, while being 4 times smaller and 3 times cheaper. Upon returning to the city, Canon sold the macro, now I shoot macro only on Olympus - no…

Pros
  • Compact, sharp (perhaps partly due to the camera), build quality
Cons
  • Nothing to complain at all
