I have not yet tested all the functions of this voice recorder. At the moment I can say that the voice recording quality is fantastic. Even in a slightly noisy room AND from a distance, you'll still be able to understand speech during playback. Playback on a standalone speaker is good, but not great. I've had better sound and functionality with an old VN-960PC (no longer in production). I don't know why Olympus can't release another recorder of the same quality. With this device, Olympus chose to make it slim, resulting in excessive length.
