Use heat! Works perfectly! Looks great!

Perfect fit for my 83 Jeep Scrambler (CJ8) clutch and brake pedal. Quick tip, use heat! I hit the backing with a heat gun until the rubber became pliable and after some work they just slid off. It took about a minute per pedal to heat up and apply. I heard some people use the oven to warm up the pods.

Looks good, bad fit

Looks the same as the original but the rubber is hard and dry, very difficult to assemble. Once installed, it slips off very easily (which I think is a safety issue). How can it be so difficult to put on and so easy to take off? My guess after double checking and reinstalling is that the flanges on the back are too small to wrap the pedal completely securely.

They look like a good replacement pedal cover for anything that will fit (CJ5, 7 etc obviously) but they are ABSOLUTELY NOT suitable for the…

Spare Parts Hot Water

In the mid 90's when I was a teenager the stock brake pads on my CJ were wearing out. I've tried replacing them several times but they never stayed in place so I haven't used them for almost 20 years. It's funny that what I gave up as a kid is now so easy to do. And it makes me happy to know how stupid I've been all these years for knowing exactly what to do but only being stubborn because as a teenager I had extreme difficulty changing pedals on my Jeep. I just didn't know how to do it right…
