Factory fits perfectly and performs great

This distributor fits my 47 CJ2a perfectly and delivers great times. A simple two-wire connection is a good guide. No more glasses to mess around with!

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • No

Works perfectly. for ignition parts

Works great, included in my latest version of cj2a. My only issue is that the decorative breather can be removed for a wider range of adjustment. But it looks original and is a huge upgrade over the old ones.

Pros
  • All right!

The best update for your desire.

great product. Replaced the old distributor with dots. Runs and runs much better! The only problem was that the rotor was 180 degrees different from the original. Just make sure you route the connector cables correctly.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • crumpled

Not suitable for manifolds and parts

I want to give this product a good rating but I can't. The device does not fit in the hole. For some reason he doesn't want to stay seated until the end. and it's 180 degrees from its original orientation, nothing to worry about here, just make sure the firing order is correct. I hope someone will call or reply to give me some insight. Do not buy until this is fixed. I will then cancel the review after the resolution.

Pros
  • Heavy duty construction
Cons
  • Very expensive

This is what you were looking for for your Willys L-Head 4

Perfect replacement for a 1947 CJ2A. Looks like a real piece from the period. No more dealing with points/capacitors, especially on a small used car. (It's not a daily engine so it sits quite a long time and the points have always been prone to corrosion. Once you've got cylinder 1 at TDC, put in the distributor (it only goes one way due to the splined shaft). See, show where the rotor is located and install as the #1 plug wire.

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • Suitable for

The IGW mount gave me better rotation and adjustment

I had to adjust the mount a bit - I ended up using an old mount from my IGW dealer, but this required unscrewing (rotating) the shoulder of the bearing mount appropriate. The IGW mount gave me the best rotation and adjustability. Overall it looks like a quality device, is 3 months old and works great. There are still springs/weights inside although the bearing is sealed. From what I've seen they are the same as the crown. My IGW was badly worn and was missing a piece on the side. I'll keep it…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
