Poor protection against rash guards

I have had several O'Neill rash guards and have been pleased with their durability and fit. The last two have thinned in places when worn for the first time. Both returned. I don't know if they were old or damaged but they weren't what I expected.

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Protects my children from sunburn

My children are fair skinned and burn easily. In summer, a rashguard is required for UV protection. The product is tight but not tight. Everything is fine, looks good and washes well. Recommend.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Great shirt for kids

Bad. I missed the part about it being a 'youth' shirt and I had to return it. However, I bought them because they are best for snorkeling in the sun. I have two others that I used in Fiji and they were spectacular. Although hand wash. they will last longer.

  • Impressive
Cons
  • Almost never

Very good quality, suitable for diving and snorkeling

I bought this for a 10 year old. It's very well made and thicker than the others but I'm guessing it's UV protection. This is good as it is thin and insulates from cold water. It is a slim fit and is ok for being narrow, but if your son is taller, please go up one (1) size.

Pros
  • Sturdy workmanship
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Does what it's supposed to do

As for the swim trunks, they do what they're supposed to. The fit was great, which I wasn't sure about. My son's only complaint is that the material is very flimsy and sticks to him once it gets wet. I've bought other swim shirts that were thicker and held their shape/fit better when wet. That was the only problem, other than that it was a good buy. The color matched his swimming trunks perfectly.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Excellent quality! at Diving & Snorkeling

I discovered the O'Neill swim trunks this year and my son loves them - now we have them in three different colours! I was hesitant to buy the first one because of the price but they are amazing quality and worth every penny. My son is a little insecure due to the slight extra weight he is carrying in the middle and these shirts are perfect for him as they are loose enough to hide his tummy but tight enough to feel like a swim shirt and not like to look like a casual shirt. .

  • Several competitors

Order one size up for rashguards

Order one size up. I understand that these shirts should be "fitted". The problem is that the shirt really has to fit. The size is wrong as I suspected. My son is slim and short for his age but is growing. I ordered a size larger than he wears thinking it would be ok if the shirt was too big as he will likely grow taller this summer. I'm glad I did as the shirt would actually be too small if I ordered it in the current "correct" size. It suits him now, with no possibility of growth. I'll keep…

  • Nice packaging

  • Good but not great

Similar fit to Under Armor Youth Fitted Great Swim Shirt

The great thing about swim shirts is their UV protection, the bad thing is they have to be quite snug which my son doesn't particularly pay attention to. However, this shirt seems to fit in general. He ordered a size 16, averages 5ft 4in and weighs 115 pounds and wears a size 16 on most clothing brands. Those familiar with Under Armor's slim fit for youth will find that the fit of this shirt is very similar . The sleeves and hem of the shirt are snug against the skin but still a bit loose as…

very short, good quality

I wanted to buy a newer and bigger rashguard for my son who will soon be 12 years old. He is of medium height and slim build. Maybe 80 pounds. The material was nice and stretchy as if it was comfortable. The neckline didn't feel as suffocating as many rashguards. I ordered a neon green size 14 hoping it would have room to grow. It was VERY short so I swapped it out for a white size 16. Basically it fits the same as a size 14, they are very short. and a gray adidas t-shirt in size L (10). As you

  • Easy to use

  • The list is long.
