Thick, moderately stiff, durable cable

I personally use it to lock down electronic devices, making them very difficult to steal. It feels very thick, is easy to handle thanks to the rubber coating, and is moderately stiff so it's easy to wrap around things, but it can't flex too much. It's as thick as I can get and I still put my lock on one of the hinges and the metal shackle and still close it. I like two loops on either end and can be easily nested so you only need to secure one of the loops when using as a slipknot. I feelโ€ฆ

This is a strong lanyard for locking your stuff

I bought the 1.2m version to use with the OnGuard Mini U-Lock to secure my new vintage Schwinn. It's a good length that gives me versatility in a variety of safety situations. I can thread one end of the cable through the other around a bar or light post, then thread the free end through the rear wheel/frame and secure the loose loop to the front wheel with, say, a U-lock. I can also thread the ends of the cable through the front wheel and rear wheel/frame and attach the ends to the bike rackโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sports and Outdoors
Cons
  • Hard to tell

This is a good strong cable that will work with padlocks but you will need to put the large loop through the small loop. This is a strong cable and it is actually braided (not twisted). It is long enough to secure a seat with a U-lock or a helmet with a U-lock. It's probably too small to try to fit a seat and helmet to a U-lock, or a wheel and helmet to a U-lock. With the longer and more expensive Kryptoflex cable, I can lock the front wheel --> go through the helmet --> and then lock onโ€ฆ
