This is a good strong cable that will work with padlocks but you will need to put the large loop through the small loop. This is a strong cable and it is actually braided (not twisted). It is long enough to secure a seat with a U-lock or a helmet with a U-lock. It's probably too small to try to fit a seat and helmet to a U-lock, or a wheel and helmet to a U-lock.
