gets the job done with minimal fuss

I usually use command strips to hang frames but due to lack of space on the back of my current frame I decided on a monkey hook because the design seemed right to me. Hold a decent weight (up to 35 pounds) while still leaving minimal mark on the wall. The frame contains a 19 x 27 inch puzzle. The hook is about 2mm thick. It's definitely easy to use, just twist the hook back and forth as directed. It felt pretty snug and secure after pushing all the way through. Overall this is a great product…

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • communication with seller

It is convenient to hang art objects on monkey hooks. We couldn't push them through the drywall so we drilled small pilot holes as suggested by someone in another review. The art hangs a bit forward as others have mentioned which is a little annoying at first but you get used to it. The heaviest thing we have hanging is a 23lb vintage mirror, but it's been up for a few days now. We put some foam behind the bottom of the mirror to keep it from hanging forward from the hook. It's nice that you…

Pros
  • Beautiful thing
Cons
  • No power

No more bolts and other drywall screws and fasteners

I can't believe I've never heard of this, they must be known. They solve very specific problems with hanging pictures etc. On walls, when you drive a nail in, it goes through the drywall and doesn't go into the stand, it just blows up and the drywall comes loose around the nail. and your picture falls or something. Molybolts and the like are supposed to hold your painting in place, but they tear a huge hole in the wall. Of course they have command stripes these days, but they fell on me too…

Pros
  • Tons of positive vibes
Cons
  • Useless features

I recommend to everyone I know! Just try them!

Mama found these in 2010 and has been using them and my most important decorative hangers ever since! Very easy to install, leaving a hole a few mm wide and easy to remove. Holds a lot of weight too! I really can't think of anything decorative that they don't hold. It's also very easy to place exactly where you want as you just mark a point to place and put a hook point there, plug it in and that's where the item will hang.

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • don't remember
