WILL NOT FIT FULL SKYEN ON WINDSHIELD! Not for full balls and makes knots in the yarn after winding

Best used for 1/2 ball of approximately 200 yards of medium weight. Yields less bulky yarn Headache if it gets caught on it Not worth it as it DOES NOT wind up / is suitable for whole skeins The yarn I wound up ended up with a few knots that I had to untie halfway through projects.

Plastic Garbage

Do not buy this item. The gears are bare and the yarn gets tangled in them every other revolution. This happens IF the twine holder itself doesn't fly off OR the clip doesn't hold the device in place well enough and everything falls to the ground. And the clamp? barely big enough to fit in a half-inch area. I spent more time untangling, collecting, or reattaching the yarn to the work surface than I did winding the yarn.

Slips off table easily, crunchy plastic gears but otherwise AWESOME.

I removed the star because it is clear that it will not last long as the plastic gears are a bit worn. It also doesn't sit very well on a table with a slight curve at the edge, but it's workable and great value for money. Good thing: It makes great balls of yarn! You can put a whole super store on this thing! It makes nice pie shaped balls which I like because they fold, have an inner and outer end, that can be used and become less flexible when yarn is used. Pom pom makers are perfect too.
