INTRIGUING EFFECTS - Through an exaggeration of the depth of field, the fisheye lens allows you to capture the unique fishbowl effect. Perfect for wide panoramic views where you want to capture more of the landscape or introduce a dramatically artistic effect to your shots, the fisheye pulls nearby objects closer and pushes more remote objects deeper into the background. SPORTS AND ACTION - One of the myriad applications of the Opteka fisheye is for sports and entertainment. Able to take in a sweeping rounded view of the event, the fisheye excels at encompassing striking range. DETACHABLE MACRO LENS - Allowing you to introduce close-up shots into your repertoire, the detachable macro component adds another dynamic to this exciting lens. With a 2 in 1 interchangeability, your camera gear can have a new set of options while taking up very little real estate. Excellent for the price.

I bought this product to use with my Canon 60D. The adapter had some issues with my 18-135mm, but the adapter works fine after a few ttys. It fits my 50mm with no problems. The fisheye effect works as long as you zoom out fully. The vignette gives it a classic fisheye look, which is fine if you're only using it for that purpose. However, it loses its impact when zoomed in and eventually blurs the image and makes autofocus impossible. Likewise, it didn't really have any usable effect on my 50mmโ€ฆ

Doesn't fit my Canon 50mm lens

Was hoping for this lens, nicely packaged, well built. It took me a minute to figure out what to mount it to as I have an L series lens and they are too big for it. I pulled out my cheap little Canon 50mm lens and fixed it nicely. However, it didn't focus on my 5D, so I put it on my 7D and ran into the same problem. It worked a bit in very bright sunlight, but it was completely blurry inside and no worse than bright sunlight. I could have ordered the .20x Fisheye (also about double the priceโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose

EXCELLENT for beginner gear

Two different nozzles are included in the kit: Fisheye and Macro. You can add both or use them separately - basically two for one! Image quality isn't excellent, but it's passable (especially if you don't view it full size. Full size is a grainy mess). Note: These are attachments, not lenses per se. That's good though: it gives you even more versatility and you can use autofocus. You'll be surprised how easy it is to turn your standard lens into a macro! Note: If you zoom out of the lens, youโ€ฆ

"Macro adapter "fisheye " "

Please understand that three stars are "I like". I'm sorry but I hope nobody expects me to fall in love with this. For the price and what I was expecting, I was actually just a BIT disappointed (too little fisheye effect; probably the more expensive the adapter, the better the fisheye effect). This is an adapter that needs a very wide angle lens to achieve the fisheye effect. The good news is that the kit lens that comes with most Canon cameras (if you have the kit) is 18mm wide, which isโ€ฆ

READ IT! (: Best in Lenses

. I bought it in 2014. I've had it I think maybe a year now and I've had a problem. I have the product in excellent condition with no scratches or similar get damage, the only problem i have from time to time is the adapter gets stuck on the macro lens and is very difficult to remove, i recommend anyone who wants to buy this to do so, i personally think that this is a good lens and i read some reviews before writing this and complained about missing parts or the lens not splitting in two, whenโ€ฆ

  • Could have chosen a newer model

Low price + low quality = great toy

Where to start with this little toy? I didn't go into it with very high expectations. First, it's the cheapest lens I've ever had and it doesn't fit the webcam. And I have a LensBaby, which is a REALLY EXPENSIVE way to take blurry (er, I mean "selective focus") photos. I tried this on my Tamron 17mm-55mm and thought it would be useful in the 35-55mm range, but at higher zoom levels it was IMPOSSIBLE to find a single focus point in the frame. At longer distances it (sort of) focused, butโ€ฆ
