I think the ease of installation depends on the car. My mechanic had to remove a few things before installing a lightbulb. Not as bright as I was hoping, but then again, my lenses are cloudy. I'm just glad I ordered a double pack as the other side came out today. Can't say how long they last. The time will show. Overall I would recommend them.

Decent yellow H1 bulbs are hard to find. Initially the yellow color and intensity were as expected. After about a month I noticed that the yellow color started to fade. It became more like a normal halogen lamp. Two months later one of the bulbs had burned out. I have enthusiastically used the brighter bulb in my fog lights which I installed 3 years ago and only use occasionally. I was concerned about the heat and the length of the lamp. I bought 1 onion to be careful. It arrived, I installed it, and the length, build, and filament size on the clearly marked 100 watt bulb was exactly the same as the 55 watt bulb it replaced. Brighter than OE bulbs with better color for night driving. Consumes no more electricity than a normal light bulb. This is my headlight bulb in my aftermarket headlights and the headlights showed much better brightness and color definition than with stock bulbs. UPDATE: Less than 1 month has passed since purchase and installation, the lamps are practically unusable at the moment. I decided to take them out to check the condition and was a bit surprised at how bad condition they were. The lights were still on, but not very well.
