Solid piece of kit that is overbuilt and extremely well thought out

This is very sturdy and overbuilt. It takes some time to put together but it is worth it. It is nice that they thought of different mounting locations, hinge locations, and even a quiet closing lid helped by rubber inserts. Rubber feet also help keep it from sliding around in the back of your kayak. Definitely the next step in the BlackPak evolution. Can't wait to put in some hours with it and I'll come back and revisit this review.

Best crate ever for my yak!

I love this crate, had a basic milk crate before with rod holders and went to this. The way to be able to mouth everything with predrilled holes is great. The new rod holders are absolutely amazing, I’m not going to another, no more rod floats, it has the retention for you. I ordered more rod holders because I typically run 8 rods on my yak and it fit them all with no issue. The storage inside is great, plenty of room, I have 4 smaller tackle trays and a metric ****ton of plastics and still…

A Proprietary Gridloc Kayak box

If your buying this to just use as storage and need some rod holders, you should be happy with your purchase.However, if you bought this with DIY in mind like I did, there a few things to be aware of.The biggest con is no current Yak Attack products fit the Gridloc holes. No Gear Tracs nothing! The Gridloc system holes are proprietary for upcoming accessories only! New accessories should be available mid September. Great purchase for my opinion

Love the rod holders. Easy to assemble. Very modular with space for anything. Plenty of room for tackle inside as well. May not be as durable as heavy-duty tackle boxes!

The perfect kayak addition

Been using for a few months. Easy to assemble, great for organizing your fishing needs, rod holders work great. Left the box out in the rain and the inside was bone dry. No negative experiences at all

This box is solid once you get it put together. It takes awhile to put it together but it's not hard. There are so many ways I can change this up or add to it. This is definitely an upgrade. Totally customizeable. The rod holders with the Bungie hook work very well. The latches were clearly designed to be opened and closed with one hand and the lid catches in the up position.
