Oooh, the best scent in interior care products

I was looking for a leather conditioner/protector that would give a really 'matte' finish. This one does... sort of. IMHO, more of a satin finish. Another issue for me, as others have pointed out, is the smell/aroma. I can't exactly describe it other than it's kinda sweet and strong and clogs my sinuses. He enters the door.

Pros
  • Decent performance

  • Only available in white

Good News Interior Care

I can't figure out how to remove dried sunscreen stains from my black leather car seats. I have tried many different home remedies suggested on the internet but to no avail. This thing removed him from the entire back row (kids legs and arms). However, it took two or three uses and erasing to get rid of it completely. The good news is that unlike some other solutions suggested online, none of the black dye has been extracted from the car seats. Highly recommended.

Just one guard. on Skin Care

I love Opti Seal, Opti Car Wax and Shine Booster, but I'm not a fan of this leather protector. Reviews are what bribed me. The skin only becomes softer after applying the product. As for using it on the rest of my interior trim, it doesn't do much. I suppose if you want a product that doesn't improve the look of your interior; only protects it. This is the product for you. If you have a luxury car, it will also affect the smell of your high quality, musky leather, which is not appealing.

Absolutely the best

Great stuff. If you have genuine Napa leather seats like Audi's, then this is the product for you. Absolutely NOT shiny, oily in feel or look. This product will leave your seats unchanged in gloss or appearance, but WILL soften and the seam will feel very rich. It is the ideal care for real leather. Again, it leaves NO shiny or artificial appearance on the skin. It looks wet, but once dry feels perfectly silky, just like the factory leather looked the day you brought your new car home. Soft…

I wish they could give you a better idea of what it contains

I wish they could tell you what they mean by polymers - silicone based? And what skin types is it suitable for? I've tested it on a few surfaces (mainly nubuck) and it seems ok, but it didn't really protect the skin as I expected. Children's shoeprints don't appear immediately as I expected. So I don't know if I just don't give him a chance or what. But the real reason I took the stars off is the awful smell. It's not that bad, but after a few days in the sun, it smells horribly of chemicals…

Tested Protectant Plus[PP] on vinyl window frames at home.

Proven Protectant Plus[PP] on vinyl window frames in the home. I brushed the dust off the frames with a fine brush. Apply polypropylene liberally to a microfiber cloth. Carefully apply the polypropylene to the vinyl window frame so that it does not hit the glass too hard. The little PP that got on the glass is easily removed by OHP. PP cleaned the vinyl frames well and restored the white color. Very nice bright white color and very nice satin finish. Never feels greasy. Vinyl frames look great…

Great matte look on seats Very low gloss on vinyl and plastic

This is a hidden gem, I've been a Meguiars user for about 5 years, just pull the trigger with Optimal after putting so much into the Reading detailing forums I first tried the no conditioner Optimum about 6 months ago and was surprised so I decided to try more Optimum products. The review was done in my recently purchased 2001 C320 with real leather, not MbTex. I first cleaned the seats with a leather cleaner, let it dry and applied a little Optimum leather protectant to each part of the seat…

Excellent dashboard protection, low gloss like new

Used Aerospace 303 protection for a while before switching to OPP to try it. I haven't had a major issue with 303 and it has a well deserved reputation, but I was looking for something that had a little less shine and was completely oil free. Enter OPP. First, let me be clear that Optimum Protectant Plus (OPP) and Optimum Leather Protectant are the same thing, just a re-labeling for a specific 17 oz size. My wife's 2004 Mazda 6 with a charcoal gray dashboard and gray leather seats, and our new…
