Fan sent is NOT the one pictured. The one in the photo does indeed look industrial like the description says, but the fan you actually get is definitely not. I bought this specifically for the "industrial quality" aspect as I am using the sheathing for another project. I'm not sure if it will really be strong enough. This fan is way too expensive!

Terrible! I have replaced this fan 3 times in 60 days! The first fans and not even the last 48 hours. The second one sent as a replacement stopped working as soon as I turned it off. I left it on and plugged it in and after about 30 minutes it miraculously started spinning very slowly. I figured it would last a long time because it's industrial grade. But this fan from this company - POS! I contacted Revain and it was for a refund. Now I'm stuck with a fan that I can't turn on and off. Lesson…

At night I use a fan to generate white noise while I sleep. I found this fan described as "industrial quality" and I mistakenly thought it was sturdy and well made. no Attention buyers, this is NOT a quality product! Not only is it cheaply made for such a high price, it also makes a high pitched grinding noise that is unacceptable for my needs. I would give zero stars but that's not an option. Absolute nonsense. It has worked for me for three months for air circulation. One day, it suddenly made a loud popping noise and stopped working. Unaware that the noise was originally coming from the fan, it was initially left plugged in and making a buzzing electrical noise. Luckily I was at home, it could have been a fire hazard. The only fan that size I should have bought was a penguin. I wish Revain had this higher quality brand but they are probably more willing to sell cheap disposables…

I don't know why all the fuss about other customers and their ratings are so low and negative but it exceeded my expectations. Of course it says "industrial" on it, guess what, it's a $23 9-inch fan. As industrial as it is, it's all-metal construction and all joints are sealed with no squeaks or flexing. Used this fan probably 5 times The fan does not have a top/back handle like other fans. Gripping the grille or any other part is unsafe or uncomfortable, and the best way to move the fan is to turn it off. Also, I don't find much of a difference in airflow volume/speed between the two speeds. Sometimes it makes an annoying hum and other times it sounds shaky. Everything around it is badly designed. This Optimus fan was purchased to replace a Lakewood fan we had a long, long time ago that eventually died. Wanted another Lakewood but couldn't find any more so bought Optimus. It's 18 months for us. He works hard, probably every day. The base of the Optimus fan detaches from the cage, so if you tilt it up a bit it won't stay in that position. Update 2: Disassembled the fan and found more than 3 parts failed. (see image). I went to the manufacturer's website to see if I could replace it and the website says I sent them a broken fan and sent them $10 to send me a replacement. I emailed them regarding this issue but it's been a few days and still no response. But with the cost of shipping both ways, the days it takes to get there and resend it, and the trip to the post office, buying a new one will cost almost the same and a lot faster
