I've only had the chance to use it on 2 night dives but I'm still very impressed. around the reef thinking my mate would follow me. He wasn't like that so we were separated for a few minutes before he saw a flashing light around the reef. It would be very difficult for him to see me in my aquarium without a beacon since I was using a low power setting. on my Orca Torch D630. Bottom line, there is no better lighthouse than this orca torch.

I use this light as a swimmer marker on guided night dives. I chose the green light, and it's bright enough to see underwater from over 60 feet (underwater visibility was moderate). It serves as an excellent beacon for divers underwater and for our observers (and boaters) above the water. We used it for about 5 hours and will use it on all subsequent dives. It's the same price as the disposable plastic 500 hour beacon except you can change the battery it comes with, and it uses a cheap AAA battery that's included.
