Holds but tilts a lot. I put a 16 ounce bottle in and was afraid it would fall on the floor it sagged so much. Overall an interesting concept and if you store toilet paper or cotton balls I'd say that would be great. I really think it will hold up some artificial vines well and look good doing it. This basket would look perfect in my bathroom if that wasn't a problem. It hangs on a hanger attached to the bathroom wall. As the others mentioned, I can actually safely accommodate many things. They just have to be big so they can nestle against each other.
