Worked great! I didn't need a double. But I liked the optics better as it seems that the ends of the cable and the locking bolt are in much better places. The fit was perfect. Gives me a great opportunity to route the cables under the top tube and switch to V-brakes. Because the original frame was cantilevered.

Used as a derailleur housing stopper on the front and rear derailleur down tube. Well made and works, but the stops are too close to the downtube to accommodate the standard size adjustment knobs. It would be easy to design. Of course, the rear derailleur has its own barrel adjuster, but for the derailleur, you need a built-in adjuster.

Whenever I see someone riding a single speed or track bike and they use clamps and full top tube covers I just shake my head. Using clamps and a body on the top tube is absolutely ridiculous and pointless when you have that solution. They're cheap, they improve the look of your exercise bike or track bike and they work, need I say more?

I'm guessing a murky tube as the frame doesn't come with a cable stop soldered there. As long as you are the right size for the frame the fit and finish is very good and this will do the job just fine. I restored a 1980 Univega Sportour road bike with a Suntour rear derailleur on the down tube. The shifter bolt broke when I took it off and found the threads were already stripped. Great little bike fork that came without the shifter lugs brazed on. It easily replaced my old down tube friction shifters with an early 80's Trek.
