I like the way it looks but the main gear is just thin stamped steel. It needs to be a bit thicker to hold the chain but it works fine.

Good gear to convert from single gear to fixed gear. The colorful center adds a subtle but edgy touch to the drivetrain, especially if you get one to match the frame.

This unique gear is the perfect weapon for any single speed mountain bike. Not only is it perfect for a Shimano-style freehub, but "attachment" is a breeze! The included spacer housing and six hex bolts thread into the disc brake side of the hub, transforming your bike into a solid fixed gear. I've ridden cross country twice with this bolt on gear and I really like it. Get ready for something new and fun!

Together with the single speed conversion kit this single speed cassette looks very nice on my bike. I hope this setup will save me a lot of energy from the constant shifting and my wrists. Just take a look. Update 2/9/20: Tested a single gear setup yesterday. The apartment works fine. On a 10 degree incline, the chain slips and I can't pedal from the saddle. This has never happened with a cassette I own that runs on a cog with the same or fewer teeth. I do not recommend this product.
