Terrible! would like to put minus stars

ordered the first part and it was clearly damaged (one piece rattled in the box) and sent back. The second replacement part arrived and I really didn't know much about these things but went to install it and the mechanic told me the vacuum port fitting was broken. and now it's too late to go back, never again.

Pros
  • hands free

This is a replacement for "Drop In ".

Part fit exactly as specified and came with a replacement gasket on the throttle body. Two key takeaways from this exchange: The bolts that attach the EGR valve to the throttle body were factory installed by Superman. These screws are MUCH over tightened and will require patience to get them out. I had to climb into the engine bay to get enough leverage. Finally, since you've disassembled everything, take a few extra minutes to remove the EGR tube that is attached to the exhaust pipe. My engine

Exactly what I needed! Thanks very much!

Works as advertised! My 2004 Ford Explorer 4.0 V6 SOHC has a low flow EGR P code (service light) on. with my code reader. I bought an EGR unit from another store that was not working and was misfiring. For now I have uninstalled and installed and reinstalled the old block and the new block and the old one. I wanted a device with good reviews so I wouldn't have to work anymore. It helped :) 4/10 for difficulty. Installation Tips: Removing the EGR tube is the hardest part. Hammer and large 1-1/16

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Easy to install, works perfectly

For the price this is a cheap repair. On SOHC 4.0 2004 and up as found in Explorer/Mountaineers, the DPFE sensor is an integral part of the EGR valve, so this part replaces both at the same time, hence the price increase over older EGR valves. Installation is much easier if you remove the air intake pipe and throttle body. It's only four bolts, but be sure to remove the sealed plastic gasket between the throttle body and the intake manifold, that's what the vanes are sticking out of. It's also…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine
