Good fit and function

As a replacement for the original cylinder, it has been working properly since it was installed about four years ago. I'm not sure you could ask for more than that.

Pros
  • handy
Cons
  • dented

fits like OEM in lock cylinder

on a 2000 Chevy Express, various plastic parts that have to be removed to gain access to the lock cylinder took too long to swap out and reinstall! The cylinder itself only lasted 10 minutes, the ignition now works like new.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Fits Silverado 2000

This did not fix the ignition sticking; seemingly protruding piece is deeper in the steering column. However, the original cylinder was 21 years old, so it made sense to replace it as I already had the part. Easy to install, works exactly as described for Silverado 2000.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Nothing

far from OEM - I recommend buying AC Delco

Seems to work fine on my Tahoe MY99 5.7L was not a direct replacement so if it needs to be removed it will be more difficult. It's also a bit tight when removing the key, you have to move it a bit. Otherwise works well, far from OEM - I recommend buying AC Delco.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Ignition jam fixed

The ignition in my 1999 Chevy Silverado was sticking which caused me to have to shake it hard for a few minutes before it would stick and spin. Easy to replace and has worked flawlessly ever since. The only downside to this situation is that I now have 2 keys, 1 to open the doors and 1 to start the truck. However, it's okay.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Clarity

Good replacement: Ignition parts

Works great. Used as a replacement for my 2002 Chevy s10. The old lock won't turn unless you move the key. No problem with that. I recommend you keep your old car key to open the doors. I almost made the mistake of throwing away my old key until I realized I had locked my doors and (obviously) since I changed the ignition the new keys in the doors didn't work.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • boring packaging

Perfect for my 2000 Blazer

Perfect for my 2000 Blazer (s10). Easy to install if you have an old key. Disconnect the battery, remove the top plastic cover from the steering column, turn the key to the crank position and use a pick to push the button deep into the hole just above the cylinder. Wiggle it a little, it should pop out, just insert the new one and twist until it clicks into place. 2 keys have arrived. Appears to be of good quality.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Upgradable
