I figured once the original was written it would be the original and not just a universal controller somewhat similar to the original. These can be purchased much cheaper. So save your money and buy a universal one.

This is my 3rd replacement (in about 7 years) and the other 2 have been perfect, this one looks like a generic version made by my kids and it doesn't work Hence the massive price drop. I'll pay $30 anytime versus $7 for one that works.

Our TV is only a few years old but the remote suddenly stopped working after trying typical fixes and even some online suggestions. I didn't have my TV model but it looked exactly like our original remote so thought it might be worth a try. I couldn't believe how cheap this remote was and how it works! I highly recommend.

The original remote that came with the TV worked fine except it became the dog's favorite toy. The middle "Select" button seems to be the weakest link when chewed on. Since the replacement block is absolutely perfect and identical to the first one, I am getting another one in case this replacement is a fake canine victim. Very important.

The remote control that came with our E500i TV has never been better. When a 50-inch smart TV costs less than $300, you have nothing to complain about, some things are kept to a minimum. It appears to be a Vizio OEM unit and solves the problem we had when the original remote didn't talk to the TV every time. This remote replacement is missing some smart keys (Hulu) that came with the original, so it's not a full replacement.

Our old remote controls - with three young children - have seen an incredible amount of abuse. What I liked most about this remote is that it is the original remote that came with the TV. I previously ordered another brand that looked the same as the original on one side but also had a keyboard on the back. Needless to say, it didn't last as long as the original. I wish I could find it the first time because it works great and the remote control quality seems to be better.

Works great. I bought this replacement remote for my daughter who has a Vizio E550iB2 HDTV. Her original remote gradually lost the ability to communicate with her TV. I tried several new batteries in her old remote before concluding that the problem wasn't with the battery or the settings. For some reason this remote had a paper sticker on the bottom that said "REMOTE". It is difficult to remove, but if you lubricate with vegetable oil, everything will work out.
