Great tool if it suits you

A general tool is a great way to get the job done faster, but it doesn't have a universal air port adapter. The thread on the tool is shorter than required for the connector.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Getting in trouble

Best Hit for the Dollar!

The only issue I have with this product is that it comes with a unique quick disconnect and the threads are not standard tubing. I used a 1/4" pipe thread nozzle and was then able to install a fitting that will accept my couplers.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • No instructions

Irregular air nipple

Wrong air nipple came, no problem I said I have a lot of extra nipples, I'll just change. How wrong I was The threads in the handle are also not standard NPT. So stupid I was able to re-tap the handle with my set of NPT faucets, but if you don't have NPT faucets, be aware that they will not connect to your ducts.

Pros
  • shiny
Cons
  • Almost ok

Everything you need to change your brake pads

Changing brake pads is becoming increasingly difficult as more vehicles are equipped with an electric handbrake or electronic brake. This requires more than just pushing the piston back. You also need to rotate the plunger. This set is suitable for almost all cars on the market. Better yet, give you a hanger so you don't damage the breakage holes when handling gauges. Must be when working intermittently!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Hard to remember but it was

Can't find the right air fitting

For some reason almost universal 1/4" air fittings aren't used here, so I went to my local hardware store and bought a 3/8" fitting kit. No problem, right? Incorrect. Not only is the fitting on the tool too short to work with the hose adapter, it uses a different thread than any air tool and adapter I've ever had, so I can't even use the 3/8-inch adapter that came with the kit. . my gear, kind of a silly looking paperweight if you ask me.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Almost never

I wanted this tool to work but unfortunately it didn't work.

I only gave this tool 2 stars because the air port on the tool doesn't work with anything on this planet. This is an odd fit - and I found I would have to re-cut the tool to get a different fit. The adapters appear to work well, but they are not very magnetic and easily fall off the tool. (I had to buy another tool) So if you only buy this set for adapters, you will be fine. Which I didn't plan, but that's what it is. If I had known, I would have continued shopping.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Functionality

Great tool. Make sure you have the correct quick connect air fitting

Good tool. This works great if you have the right air quick release. I put on a typical car QD. It was 1/4 NPT. I had to drill and cut with a tool to get the correct QD. After putting it on I hooked it up to my compressor and it worked great. Basically, it's a pneumatic piston with a twist grip that you use to hand-tighten a caliper. The tool is made of cast metal and steel. It is of good quality and works very well. You can even use it to break in calipers that don't require reversing the…

No more AutoZones!

I was so excited when I ordered this because I just took a break where it would have made my life so much easier. Not to mention the time I would have saved if I hadn't gone to AutoZone hoping they had it and then returned it! Every time I work on a vehicle, I have to remind myself that this isn't the good old days of simple mechanical systems. Everything needs a tool, and brakes are no different. If you've ever worked on an automobile brake that involves pushing and turning calipers at the…
