This was the right tool for changing wheel bearings and hubs on my 2001 Nissan Altima. pivot bearing. I followed the advice I got online and put the bearings in the freezer for a while first (they've shrunk a bit) but I'm not sure how important that is when you have it too.

I don't understand how a bearing removal kit with so many extra ports could NOT work on my Honda, but that's exactly what happened. None of the cups/plates were close enough to a perfect fit - had to send them back for a refund. It might work for some other types of cars, but honestly, if you can't make a stock service kit for Honda cars, I think you're just not taking the tooling business seriously.

Nice, useful part that pays for itself by saving time and not damaging the bearings. I've used it to replace bearings on my washing machine and auto spindles and have also used it on both occasions as a stand alone tool as well as in a hydraulic press. Comes in a good range of sizes and considering it's designed to replace wheel bearings but a larger range of drivers for smaller bearings will always come in handy. The OMT 52-in-1 Screwdriver Set is a nice addition to this.

I know my body can be very bad (every part of my front end seemed to freeze/rust), the bearing couldn't come out with the kit the way it was designed to use . If you have an old car, lots of deposits or rust, this just doesn't help. I used plates (adapters) with a borrowed machine press to pull out the hub and bearing, so they were useful, but as accessories to the press, not for the job itself.

The kit looked very good but is totally useless as the main screw and nut have different thread pitches. Found this while in the process of pulling out a front wheel bearing and had to spend an extra hour and dollars driving to Harbor Freight to get a working kit. This is a great inexpensive bearing press kit not intended for professionals. Keith says you can't use an impact wrench, and yes, that's the quickest way to break this tool. Well that has to be the most ridiculous tool oversight I've ever seen. First off I have to say the quality looked great and I was very happy to go to the shop and press in the bearings. Unfortunately, once I started turning the bolt and nut, this turned out to not be possible. . Because screw and nut have two different thread pitches! So there is literally no way to use this tool. Received today, sure looks good. No instructions, no parts list, that's not good. The case has part numbers for each part, but there is no listing that states what those part numbers mean and none of those part numbers match the picture in the listing here on the site. The sleeves look a bit flimsy for something that might put a lot of pressure on them. I have some bearing replacement work next week so we'll see how well they hold up.
