Description of πŸ“· Oshiro 135mm f/2.8 LD UNC AL Telephoto Lens for Nikon D5, D4S, DF, D4, D850, D810, D750 & More: Prime Lens for Crystal Clear Shots

Prime telephoto designed for both APS-C and full-frame sensors. On APS-C-sized sensors, the 35mm-equivalent focal length will be 216mm. One extra-low dispersion element is incorporated within the 9 element, 7 group design, and helps to reduce chromatic aberrations for sharper, clearer image quality. Manual focus design is complemented by both depth of field and distance scales for utilizing pre-focusing techniques. Built-in retractable lens hood helps to shield the front lens element from stray light to prevent lens flare and ghosting. All-metal body and mount, there are no plastic parts.

Bought this lens for Nikon APSC. I really liked the metal housing with integrated hood. Easy focus and fine tuning. Sometimes I feel like it's like a Zeiss lens. The picture is clear and colorful. The price is attractive. I will use it for my first outdoor lens.

Pros
  • Built-in retractable shade protects the front element from flare and eliminates flare and ghosting
Cons
  • The list goes on.

BEWARE ! on SLR lenses

Everything was great with the lens. Little did I know that for some weird reason, unforeseen by me, the manufacturers didn't tighten a tiny screw on the bracket that attaches to my camera. After 3 days I have problems with the camera due to the shutter when using a standard Nikon lens. I was very confident in buying from oshiro because of their microstyle lenses which I really like but as these lenses damaged my camera I don't see myself ever buying from oshiro again. A protruding screw damaged

Pros
  • Manual focus design updated with depth of field and distance scales for pre-focusing techniques
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Great lens! for SLR lenses

I am an enthusiast with three Nikon cameras (D40x, D70s and D7200) and have taken many pictures over the past 40 years. This lens excels in terms of performance, bokeh, and most importantly, sharp, beautiful, high-quality shots. Tried on all my cameras, no problems. This is a manual lens, so what? Manual focus is always best for getting the precise focus and overall composition you want to achieve. While not a professional, I have found this lens to give excellent results both in the field and…

Pros
  • All metal body and frame, no plastic parts
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Surprised newcomer with the best lenses

I'm new to REAL camera photography and even more new to astrophotography so I bought this lens. It appears to be an all-metal construction and you can feel it when you hold it in your hands. After reading more I realized that this is not the best lens for astrophotography but I didn't want to return it. IT FEELS SO NEEEEEEEEE! By learning how to adjust my camera settings, I was able to get some pretty good shots of the stars at night, at least for me. I even captured the Orion Nebula in one of…

Pros
  • Prime telephoto lens for APS-C and full frame sensors. With APS-C sensors a 35mm equivalent focal length would be 216mm
Cons
  • Very expensive
