Amazing achievement

I temporarily used cheap lamps for a year until I got tired of the low efficiency lamps. I bought these Osram 7000Ks and made a huge difference in street lighting. At first I was hesitant at 7000K and too blue, but it's more like 5500-6500K and I don't notice a hint of blue. Maybe it's my BMW projectors. Now I love driving at night and it feels like I have a new car. Did a lot of research between Phillips and Osram. It looks like a lot of people are gravitating towards Osram. Some also say it…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Exactly what I was hoping for: Bulbs

I bought these replacement bulbs as the bulbs in my 2007 XC90 are obsolete. The light output went down and I had strobe lights on the passenger side. Installation on my car is simple and straightforward. The light output and color of the new lamps are fantastic! I can now see clearly when driving and am completely satisfied with the quality of light delivered. As Osram is an OEM there was little doubt they would perform as expected. The price is much higher compared to halogen bulbs, but you…

Excellent replacement for Mercedes W164 ML

Purchased to replace the factory HID 4300k bulbs in a 2007 Mercedes ML63 W164. It's a direct install, no problem, took less than 20 minutes. The only annoying thing was that the space behind the headlights was tight, my hands hurt. Small hands are no problem at all. As for the bulbs, I compare them to OSRAM / Philips 4300k factory bulbs. The lamps are pure white with touches of blue around the edges/cuts. The light on the floor is cool white but if you look at the bulbs/spotlights you can see…

Matching color and brightness

For those who have installed different brands of D1S lamps in projector housings, these OSRAM lamps correspond to their German quality. The lamps match perfectly in terms of color and brightness. (tested with colorimeter and lumen meter). I found their color around 6500K after fully warming up. This may change slightly after a break in the period, which is usually around 40 hours. I also went to the OSRAM website and confirmed that these are indeed original German OSRAM lamps. If you know that…

Are they really worth more than $30? I do not think so!

I drive a large truck and most of my trips are at night. When I bought a truck a few years ago, I looked at several different aftermarket brands without spending over $60 on a pair of HID bulbs. but now i decided to go and spend the money. I like leading corporate brands. But I think you're paying for the name. The lightbulbs I had last year were fine and I change them regularly every year whether they are good or not. Since they are a year later for 5 nights a week I think they have had…

Pros
  • Nice item
Cons
  • Only available in white

Better light output, good color, expensive but worth it.

Good. I know what everyone says, a lightbulb is a lightbulb. But as with various other lighting technologies, how the light is produced can make a big difference. I believe that with HID bulbs it's the minerals that are in the capsule. I had a MUCH cheaper set of D1S bulbs in my 2013 BMW x5 e70 35i with adaptive steering and compared to my original bulbs the color was good. They were lighter at first, but after just a year I started noticing fading and discoloration. It COULD be 100 hours of…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Very expensive

Well first of all they didn't even come close to the advertised 7000K, more like 5500K but I can live with that as the factory lights are 4200K. They are brighter than factory bulbs and offer better color separation. I noticed that they are D1S and have both low and high beams in the same bulb, but the high beam is not as bright as the Phillips D1S bulbs that come from the factory, but definitely brighter in the low beam than factory. The connectors are very tight when plugged in, but that's…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Long delivery time

GREAT CHOICE BUT BE CAREFUL WITH THE PACKAGING

I was looking at various HID models from Philips and Osram, both German and both excellent products; but for the D1S versions my X5 Retro-M required, the Osram Cool Blue BOOST won after countless hours of comparing brightness, heat (Kelvin) readings and so on. They are shown as "OFFROAD ONLY" due to the strict restrictions they have yet to approve for use in Europe with this whiter colour, although the actual brightness is "technically" around 10% lower than their more expensive NIGHT BREAKER…

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Not bad
