Budd Wheel Sockrt Almost perfect

A very good tool but it has a small flaw. If you remove the outer tab first, be careful not to hit the inner tab as well. Otherwise, the bushing will tighten both jam nuts at the same time as a unit. The only alternative is to cut them off with a flashlight. Also, it's a really good tool for the price (a snap-on tool like this is around $100).

the only tool for the job it does

I have an isuzu NPR truck and had to remove the wheels to service the brakes. Due to the heavy truck nature the studs were much larger than anything else in my tool collection and inside rear wheels are held in place by a set of square head bolts which is what this tool was designed for. Wheels removed and brakes repaired. Keep this in your truck tool box as none of your local tire shops stock it either.

Not recommended in tool kits

I don't like OTC products. In fact, I use a lot of their stuff on a daily basis. However, this product has a terrible design. I found that 41mm is not deep enough. It only grabbed half of the nut and tended to grab the inner nut on impact. Once the inner nut was tightened, it was game over. I found that I would rather push the studs out than remove the 41mm nut. I've also found that I have more problems with right-hand threads than left-hand threads. I recommend buying them separately, I know I

Correct description, incorrect dimensions

The product itself may be of good quality but the correct part number and dimensions for what it should be is on the side of the socket. However, when I tried to use it, it wasn't 41mm, it was 38mm. Which won't work on a 41mm nut. Not sure what to do at the moment as I haven't used it right after ordering it so my return window has been closed since May and it's now August. I think I'm stuck with this. Not sure how to order again because each one says 41mm. So how do I know what I'm getting?

Ideal for Budd bikes.

Great for bud wheels. This is a 1" socket with a 41mm hex and a 21mm square socket (countersunk) on the other end. When tightening/loosening the outer gear on a dual configuration, just be careful that you are ONLY on the outer nut because when the sprockets match, the bushing will take the outer nut AND the female nut and you will essentially be trying to turn both of the outer and inner nuts and you will have bad times. strong head that won't break under high loads. The only reason it's not a
