Description of πŸ”§ Efficient One-Man Brake Bleeder Hose Set - OTC 4809 (4 Piece) - Improve Brake Maintenance with Ease

Save time removing air from brake system by doing all the wheels at the same time. Set also eliminates the need for an assistant. Hoses easily attach to bleeder screws which hold hoses in place and prevent leaking. Check valve on end of hoses prevents air from entering brake system when pumping brake pedal. Includes four of the number 4599.

Almost useless

The check valves are pretty good, but the hose clamps that hold the hoses to the bleeder screws are complete crap. They might actually work if the brackets were made of spring steel instead of Chinese sheet metal. Finally I gave in and asked my son to help me. Don't waste your time and money on these things.

Totally Useless: Hoses, Pipes and Fittings

The same goes for mild steel retaining clips – they just flex and don't clamp the tube. And the hose is too small and stiff - very difficult to attach to the air bleed screws. And a check valve, depending on port size and spring pressure, takes over 300 psi to openβ€”the hose is deflated long before the valve opens. skip it Too bad I didn't read the reviews.

waste of money! Best in Brake System

I am a full time technician and am always looking for a way to save time and move on to the next project. Decided to try these. What a waste of money! They don't work at all and fall apart. Had the hoses come loose on the first try, clamped them and loosened the cheap tin used to attach them to the bleed screws even when the washer was pressed down hard. Go ahead and avoid this product.

  • Spare Parts
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

Poor fit best in hoses, lines and fittings

This tool cannot be used for bleeding by one person. The fluid pressure required to depress the built-in check valve is due to the slight tension the tool must hold on the bleed screw. As soon as you press the brake pedal, the bleeder hose pops out. I have tried loosening the tension on the check valve and tightening on the bleed valve but to no avail. After several unsuccessful attempts, all four hoses ended up in a dumpster.

Tried it and failed the usage test.

These brake bleeder hoses are not suitable because: 1. The "fingers" that are supposed to hold the end of the hose on the brake bleeder screw are NOT made of spring steel. they are invalid; 2. Hose ID 1/8". They won't fit the large nipples (which most cars have) without adapters, which were NOT included. All things considered, these things have been gathering dust in my garage since I bought them. It is a good idea BUT they don't work the way they're made. If they're made well, maybe.

Pros
  • Hoses, lines and fittings
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
