Non-standard branded fitting

Waste of time and money. You could use a standard 1/4 inch NPT fitting. They didn't. This is a proprietary fitting, so you'll have to buy their outrageous gauges.

Pros
  • GOLS certification
Cons
  • Functionality

Will it work with your existing gauge

This is an adapter for 7.3 diesel. Most others on the market have sharing issues. I had to make an adapter to use my pressure gauge as the adapter does not have a check valve.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Piggy Bank Price

Always check the O-ring!

Works great. The price is overpriced for what you get. But what's the worst? O-rings are gone. Probably in one of my glow plug holes. It seals well without it just because of the threads so why include something I now have to rip the top off to find?!

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • I will add later

I hate to say this but I was very disappointed.

I hate to say it but I was very disappointed with this tool as it didn't come out of the box. Ordered diagnosis, did not help. Had to use brake cleaner and pipe cleaner to remove the rust as after a thorough cleaning it was completely clogged as it should be. Bought new, not flea market. If you happen to get a clean one, I'm sure you'll be satisfied. I didn't do it though, which is why it got 1 star.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

This is the coolest tool so far.

O-ring comes loose. I tried to make my own adapter online with all the instructions and wasted two days. I ordered this out of sheer disappointment and for the most part it works incredibly well. I've read previous o-ring reviews and was very careful when slowly pulling the tool out. Until I got to the last #7 cylinder and lost the o-ring while pulling it out. This is not necessary to get a good seal as I retested a simple cylinder just by hand tightening and the results were the same. It is…

Clogged with rust and has a quick coupler

Same problems as the other two comments: rust clogged and non-standard quick coupler. The quick disconnect is a Star Products (Lang Tools) style quick disconnect (NOT an OTC fitting or Milton Industrial Interchange). I already had a set of diesel engine gauges, so I didn't want to buy a $150 OTC 5021 gauge. Thought you could just replace the quick coupler, but it's soldered, NOT threaded. So I bought a Star Products TU-15-31 Right Angle Diesel Adapter at ToolDiscounter dot com for $9.04 and…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
