Quick way to get the job done

You can go to the parts store and rent a whole ridiculous set of inner tie rod keys that might not even work, or you can use this thing that's too works 95% of the time. time, and it's a lot simpler, more versatile, easier to use, and a lot faster.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Good product. The solution to all those bulky kits

Plenty of ways to remove internal pull rods. Huge complex sentences and keys. But this is an easy fix for all these sets. Only one tool works for everything. Very durable and I've used a breaker on it every time. Withstood my insult.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • No power

Flexible and seemingly strong

This worked exactly as expected on the mkIV Jetta TDI inner tie rod. The only problem was that the raised hemisphere on the drive nut, apparently to aid in bushing alignment, caused backlash problems in my application. Luckily they secured it with a screw that was easy to pull out.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Some issues

Works great with small things

Ideal for small items. Good workmanship, easy to use, good price. Also takes up a lot less room in my toolbox than large houndstooth style drawbar tool sets. I also bought a larger 7501 light duty truck tool which I feel is slightly better due to the square shank.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Unsafe

Good little tool for removing internal TREs

Nice little tool for removing internal TREs. It has an excellent build quality and cuts right into the tie rod end. I used the same styling tool a few years ago and recently realized I needed a special tool. I didn't even hesitate to look for any of them. If you've never used one of these, consider the angle you are at with the ratchet and tool. I snapped the male end of the 3/8" extension and twisted it to the side.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • poorly designed

Great tool. Used for the first time yesterday.

Great tool. I used it yesterday on an Impala 05 for the first time. If I was really picky, the only problem I saw was that the regular power socket didn't fit the nut. The wall of the nest was too thick. Used a regular 3/4" jack with a 1/2" adapter and a jumper and everything worked fine. I'm curious how durable this is over the long term. I have no reason to think it's going to break, but I'd like to spruce it up a bit before I discard my old internal toolbox. Buy this product.
