You have to snap them together and some are ribbed or glued. They serve as a cute decoration and are made of plastic so they don't need to be unraveled like some other pretty paper. I give it 3 stars because of the many flaws in the kit. But if they were all or just a few I would rate higher.

This is one of the most wonderful products ever. I use them daily. Why keep them for parties? For every glass of tea, coffee, water, juice or blue milk you need a flamingo straw. I put one in my coffee mug to take to work. You can't be too angry or unhappy when a pink flamingo is staring at you. Unless, of course, you met him in the wild in his nest and he doesn't attack you. But it's your fault.

Bought these for a Hawaiian Christmas party and loved how cute they looked in the photos. Unfortunately, many of them broke during assembly (really stiff/dry tissue paper that fell apart when pulled to form the flamingo's body). Although those who survived did a good job. If you decide to order them, I recommend ordering an extra bag to compensate for the "fragile".
