I use this in my grandchildren's turtle tank. The lamp gives off a lot of heat. I hope it lasts longer than the other brand I bought last time. thanks

We replaced a bulb that had been in our turtle tank for 10 months and now I know why they sent 3 bulbs, they only lasted 2 weeks. We're using a second bulb, so let's hope it was just an accident and the next bulb will last longer.

I checked all reviews before purchasing. People say it blinds the animals or it gets hot, bright but I've had them for 4 weeks now on the first bulb and my turtle is still doing great, loves to sit under the light and sunbathe. I leave it on all day from morning to night, no problems.

I bought these bulbs for a lamp in a turtle aquarium. The light is located outside the spray area and turns off at night. The first bulb I tried out of three burned out within 2 hours of use. I put in a second one and after 3 days it's still working perfectly but I'm disappointed that I still have 2 bulbs. Not sure if the purchase is worth the risk they break so quickly!

I use these for my turtle warmers because they emit a full spectrum of UVA/UVB which helps keep them warm and also strengthens their shell. very important for these creatures that cannot regulate their own body temperature. Works great, dimmable, long lasting. The only thing I noticed is that these bulbs will kill very quickly, if you accidentally splash water on them while cleaning the tank, the bulbs will get so hot that the water will break them pretty quickly.
