I use these for my turtle warmers because they emit a full spectrum of UVA/UVB which helps keep them warm and also strengthens their shell. very important for these creatures that cannot regulate their own body temperature. Works great, dimmable, long lasting. The only thing I noticed is that these bulbs will kill very quickly, if you accidentally splash water on them while cleaning the tank, the bulbs will get so hot that the water will break them pretty quickly. But these are excellent quality lamps, work well and are long lasting, great price.
