OTUAYAUTO 8524135031 Toyota 4Runner 2003 2009 Review

Doesn't work. Nicely packaged. Shipped on time. Easy to install and looks like a great replacement but unfortunately it was not designed properly and the wiper does not make full contact with the glass. I get about 3 inches of clean contact plus a few random streaks when I use it. Tried reinstalling 3 times, no settings help. What a pity!

Unfortunately I tried to install it the next day after the return line was closed. The materials are very fragile. The mechanism arm broke when I opened the box and the blade only touched about 50% of the intended surface when installed. When the blade was first fired, the knot actually broke where the cheap plastic had snapped. Worst wipers and instructions I have ever seen.

This is the second arm I have purchased and it works great with the wiper. The first was just a lever and the original reused wiper was never able to make proper contact to clean the glass. By the way, the standard lever was worn out and did not work. Don't try to save him. I couldn't get it loose with the special tools so I crushed it with a vise. Then I could disassemble it and remove it from the pole.

The box the wiper blade came in was nicer than the blade - sometimes when you use the wiper when it switches off it sits on the window - not because of the style and manner as this was installed, but due to the strong pressure against the tailgate it sometimes does not return to its holding position. Another design flaw, it also cracked right on installation where the hand caught the tailgate. It's very thin cheap plastic. I will use it until it falls off but I will not buy this brand again!

Original on a car for 15 years that required an extraction tool to remove. Used a faucet handle removal tool if that helps future pullers. I also had to loosen the mounting nut with a liquid wrench. Don't worry about a replacement blade set that is exactly the same as the original and has five-star quality. However, the hinge on part of the wiper arm was stiff and required oil to loosen. I bought one and attached it to the car. (If you're changing your entire hand, not just the blade, you'll need a wrench.) I thought I might have bent the blade because it didn't wipe the entire rear window, the wiper was only good on a third of the window. I did it. Update: I have not returned it but would like to return it. The wiper arm broke at the pivot point and the wiper blade never really touched the glass so it cleaned at best 50%. It looks the same as the factory stalk but when you turn on the rear wiper it breaks away from the rest and should go to the window, this stays about 1/2 inch from the window.
