Good enough. at Bike Tools & Maintenance

Very easy to use, works as advertised. Be careful not to push the pin all the way in or it will be VERY difficult to get it back into the link. Work slowly so this doesn't happen and you're fine. All in all a good tool that made removing the chain a lot easier. Would buy again.

Double the fun: sport

Fast delivery. Used the hydraulic breaker for the first time last week when rebuilding the transmission. Looks solid and works as expected. Since this is for home use, I doubt I'll need another in my life. Chain check included. Nice addition to your bike tool box. What are you waiting for at this price?

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons

Works really well: Sport

I used this as a replacement for my MTB chain, works great. The best tool is the chain retaining clamp, before using I lost the chain at least 4 times due to lubrication and position. Using this little tool will help hold the chain in place to connect two snap pieces. I wish I could take some photos to share.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Chain tool is good for bike tools and maintenance

Chain tester great! It has no moving or mechanical parts. chain break? Well... not so good. Yes! That will work. As other reviewers have pointed out, the stylus is off-center, so be careful when initially pressing the stylus. Nice that there is an extra tip. Please note that the Park CTP is NOT compatible with this device. In the park, the threads are coarser.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not sure

Bent pin on first use

This tool comes with two pins, one installed with the tool and the other as a spare. Little did I know there was a larger pin installed in the tool and used it to remove the chain I was working on. It was hard to do and I got stuck in the chain. With some effort I was able to pull it out, but it was slightly bent. Another pen has a smaller barrel and would work better. live and learn The seams of the tool are well folded.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Minor issues

Heavy duty chain clip holder saves lives

I have used and broken several chain tools and chains in the past. This jig is adjustable at both ends to protect the chain and chain tool from bending, which is very useful. A metal clip on the chain tool holds the chain together, allowing you to adjust the links while pulling the derailleur. This helps a lot in fixing the chain on the fly, as happened to me on the road the other day. A voltage tester is a good thing to add.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Hard to say

A rubber band to secure that silly plug, or kiss him goodbye!

As long as the riveting tool is working properly, I strongly recommend lubricating all moving parts with grease to prevent binding and twisting of the bolt threads. It is highly recommended that you order additional push pins for this tool as it only comes with one spare push pin. Replacement needles with Park Tool push pins should fit this tool perfectly. No problem. My problem is that I keep losing the chain link hook brace. I can never find it when I need it and I can't leave it in the chain

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Expandable

Best tool for the bike mechanic's tool box or on the road/trail

I recently bought two of these tools because I want to be sure I can get home if a chain breaks on my bike. Also recently I wanted to upgrade/upgrade my bike for me. That means the dial on the chainring matches my style or cadence. My bike was built with a chainring that is more suited to flat terrain. Where I live I got more hills than you can shake a stick. In a month that I rode over 500 miles, I climbed over 10,800 meters of hills. I've researched the transmission I need to purchase theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not the best
