Optimized Hood for Outdoor Activities Review

I took this hood with my Duster for our trip to Ireland. We returned in May, it was warmer and drier than the US! He was never needed there, it didn't rain. However, some reviews said the fit was poor, I agree with the snaps. I have used it many times on the farm in the rain, great investment.

I ordered size XXL for my coat that I wear over my tool bags when I work in the rain. The buttons on the hood don't quite match the buttons on the jacket (there are already buttons for the "hood" which I think covers the shoulders. It pulls the collar a bit tighter which feels uncomfortable. On the Hood says xl xxl and 3xl so not sure why it's not a bit bigger It fits well (and keeps me dry.) It doesn't fit over the helmet - which isn't a problem at the moment.

I finally got my Bush Ranger (5008) and a hood for it too. Western Outlets was great too! I was impressed that the hood and rag were actually color coordinated. There is a lighter brown color similar to ponchos and other things but I have the same color/shade on both! Check! The hood has loops to attach it to the duster so I can wear it with a cape, but there are no buttons to attach it to the duster without a cape in warmer weather. As previously mentioned, this product has design and/or manufacturing issues. It turns out that in order to fasten the hood, you need to remove the cape from the coat, which is attached to four buttons. The hood is then attached to these buttons. The problem is that the two internal buttons on the hood are too close together. They don't match the buttons on the coat, so the hood doesn't close properly. If I had two extra bars I think I could position them myself and be as prepared as possible…
