🚴 Aluminum Alloy Bike Mount Cycle Bicycle Rear Seat Post Rack - Outtag Retractable (Easy Install, Maximum Weight 22lb) Review

Bike rack broke less than 2 months after purchase. The company immediately sent a replacement as soon as I contacted them. I've upgraded my customer service rating to 4 stars. Because the seller was so responsive, it's possible that the item I received was defective and most of them are of a higher quality.

I tried different types of bike racks for my son's bike. This is the only brand that really works. The rest was too shaky. I can attach a bike basket to the back of the rack and it works great. The only downside to this product is that the bike rack can slide off your back if the screws loosen, so I add a zip tie and attach the rack to the bike seat, just in case.

I attached it to a bike seat and used it to transport shoebox-sized packages to my local UPS pickup location. This shelf is VERY narrow for any type of box. The boxes I use it on are almost always 12x10x6 and they fall off every time, even when secured with rubber banding. I ended up cutting out a 1x10 piece, drilling holes in it and tying it to a post and then spraying it with Plasti Dip. Now it works fine, but only thanks to my modifications. All in all, it's good for nothing.

This is a great, slim and very stylish rear shelf, for storing light items only. Don't overload it. I only gave four stars because of the easy assembly, not because it's difficult to assemble, but because it's not so easy to assemble a reflector or a brake light due to its rounded shape. Something to consider when revising this product for future improvements is the manufacture of a flat section trailing edge or pass-through mount for popular traditional brake lights and reflectors.

I love the quick seat post adapter on this model. A few others of them slipped into the post. This did not happen because the 4 bolts on the strut clamp were torqued to 80 in-lbs. The rack slider slides out, which is a nice adjustment feature, or can be removed. The hex bolts are a bit longer, I plan on cutting mine shorter by about 3/8" or something, but that doesn't matter, it's more of a cosmetic issue. This trunk attaches well to the seat post. It feels light yet durable. I chose it because I wanted something to carry a lightweight bag that attaches easily. The slide adjustment works well and the extension was necessary to fit properly behind the seat. As many point out, the seatpost mount design is not designed for heavy loads or hard riding.
