This trunk attaches well to the seat post. It feels light yet durable. I chose it because I wanted something to carry a lightweight bag that attaches easily. The slide adjustment works well and the extension was necessary to fit properly behind the seat. As many point out, the seatpost mount design is not designed for heavy loads or hard riding. If you like to transport heavy loads in the trunk, you should choose a trunk with lashings on both sides. One thing I've noticed is that the mounting bolts loosen very gradually, probably because I didn't use washers, so I use my multi-tool to tighten them from time to time. As long as you stay within the design parameters of your seatpost carrier, you should be happy with the durability of this product.
