🛁 Outus Silicone Finishing Bathroom Caulking Review

The purpose of this tool is to create a seal bead that is not concave like wet finishing. The result is a bead that is thicker in the middle, so that area isn't thin and weak. It takes a bit of practice to smooth the bead without leaving too much residue on the tool that needs to be wiped off before reaching the end of the bead.

For the money I was hoping it would impress me more. Maybe it's because it's silicone. However, if you're hunting and trying to get a nice clean line, you need a harder tool in my opinion. They were also difficult to wipe off due to their stickiness. I ended up just throwing them away and using masking tape for all my caulking projects.

Not sure what I expected when I bought this product to be easier to use, maybe I still am not used to it, but I've put a lot in my life and I still find that using my finger gives the best result 90% of the time. In doing so I have found myself in several situations where it has come in handy and I am very glad I have it.

I couldn't get this to work as advertised but possibly user error. It definitely matters what type of sealant you use. The silicone sealant I had for the tub/bath was a disaster, but I believe the instructions that came with it state that fact, so that's a bad thing. The paintable latex gasket I had, which also contained silicone, worked much better with these tools. I still couldn't get it to work the way I wanted using just these tools, but they can be of great help in removing the excess. It

I used this to do all the caulking the attaching to the Garage - and there were plenty of them. At least a few hundred yards around ship hulls, window frames, etc. These tools are great for shaping your beads. I've mostly used the 90* section and it's held up pretty well. I had to smooth the edge a bit, but that's to be expected with so much use. I've also found that putting the tool down in a cup of water after I'm done helps keep it clean until the next time I need it.
