Outus Color Tread Depth Gauge Review

I had an old profile gauge with no color designation. It worked, but you wasted more time reading the actual depth. So you can quickly read whether you are still in the black. If you see yellow or red, you'll know quickly that you should start buying a new set of tires. If you want actual tread depth, the numbers are easy to read beyond a quick initial status reading.

They are inexpensive and easy to read. I recommend having one in the garage for checking tires on cars. However, these are wrapped stickers. They break off when exposed to heat/fat. The ones we use in the shop are engraved with numbers so oil/thinner doesn't hurt. Yes, over time the ink will fade and they will scratch. For everyday home use, they are unbeatable.
