Easy installation and great function. The dealer wanted me to order a whole new cap for $238. Replacing just the broken latch cost me just under $9. Total assembly time is 20 minutes. I saved $230. Good product!

This fastener is an exact fit on a genuine GM part. Works just like the original. It's easy to break like the original if you push the latch too hard. This is my third center console latch and both times the latch broke due to too many things in the console. The latch works and is as secure as the original GM latch.

This part broke in my car a long time ago. Finally bought this part. It was easy enough to replace. The only recommendation for buyers is to make sure you have a T20 on hand for a replacement and make sure the screws are fully backed out before attempting to disassemble the console, otherwise you could cause further damage. Overall durability seems to be in line with a standard part, from what I've read is common. Luckily it's easy to replace.

This replacement part broke after 18 months of purchase. I called the company to see if they would replace it. They said it was out of warranty which I already knew but I still felt like they made it based on their description of the part "it's made to last, it's not a cheap latch that will break again" should cover. I wish I had known about this product before, it was very easy to install on my 2012 Chevy Silverado and my grandfather's 2008 Chevy Silverado, both installations were easy and painless. It takes about five minutes to remove the old part and install a new one. We secured both of our glove boxes and couldn't remember what it was like for almost three years for both of us. Great product, great price, easy to install, shipped quickly with Revain Prime and works perfectly on my 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab. I watched a YouTube video of the replacement process, while waiting for the part to arrive. Watching a video takes longer than changing a part.
